Billboard for Edinburgh: Ryan Gander: Ryan Gander is the 14th artist to make a work for Ingleby Gallery's Billboard for Edinburgh project.

31 October 2011 - 2 February 2012

Ryan Gander was the 14th artist to make a work for Ingleby Gallery's Billboard for Edinburgh project.

Gander created a new photographic work for the installation. The image shows a shirt breast pocket with a small piece of notepaper poking out. The text displayed on the notepaper describes details of a friends dream; the subject of which is a new artwork by the artist.

About Billboard for Edinburgh: Billboard for Edinburgh is a unique public art and print publishing project. Every three months a new artist is invited to make a work for the 10 x 13.5ft billboard high up on the end wall of Ingleby Gallery, in the heart of Edinburgh's city centre.

As part of the project, each artist also realises their image as a signed and numbered limited edition print, published in an edition of 50. Sales from the print help to support the project.

The four participants in Billboard for Edinburgh: Year 4 (August 2011 - July 2012) are Cornelia Parker, Ryan Gander, Ruth Ewan and Anya Gallaccio. Previous Billboard for Edinburgh participants include Mark Wallinger, Tacita Dean, Rachel Whiteread and Jonathan Monk. Prints from the series can be purchased through the Books, Prints & Editions section of the website.
