This book of Thirty Paintings follows an earlier volume Thirty Small Paintings, that was published in 2015. In the seven years since then the paintings have got even smaller, so the present title is maybe a little perverse, or at least misleading. Thirty Smaller Paintings would be closer to the mark - thirty postcard-sized panels of colour, tone, and fastidious mark-making - thirty paintings that don't need to be any bigger than they are...thirty tiny poems.
