Peter Liversidge and Phill Jupitus will be discussing artists who entrust their finished works to the postal system and the pitfalls and benefits of this high risk practice.
Liversidge's engagement with the postal system is a long-standing thread in his work: as a student he famously sent his studio chair to Spacex Gallery in Exeter piece by piece, posting all 26 components separately and unwrapped. More recently, his exhibition Surface Mail at the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven brought together postal objects from a private collection.
