Painting, our mutual friend will feature a range of etchings, monoprints, watercolours and oil paintings by Andrew Cranston and Lorna Robertson, reflecting the dynamic interaction between printmaking and painting that underlies each of their practices. Shedding light on a long-term artistic partnership, the exhibition explores the dialogue and shared sensibilities that emerge between their distinct approaches to painting.

 

The work was developed during experimental residencies at Glasgow Print Studio, encapsulating the spirit of play and inquisitiveness inherent to printmaking.
