Works by Monya Flannigan will be on show in October at Museum Arnhem in their forthcoming show, Forbidden Territories: 100 years of surreal landscapes.
With 2024 marking the centenary of artist and writer André Breton's Surrealist Manifesto (1924), Forbidden Territories presents a new perspective on 100 years of surrealist art, exploring how artists use the landscape as a comparison or means to respond to political unrest, gender identity and expression and the relationship between humans and nature.
