Time & Wild Clocks
Edinburgh International Book Festival
Venue NW
13 August 2025, 20:15 - 21:30
Tickets: £15.50
Time & Wild Clocks invites us to explore the tensions between nature’s rhythms and the human-made constructs of time. At the heart of the conversation is Norway’s Future Library, a century-long artwork that plants ideas for a future none of us will see. Each year, a writer contributes a manuscript to be sealed away until 2114.
In a special Book Festival event, artist Katie Paterson, creator of the Future Library, joins writer David Farrier and the yet-to-be-revealed 12th author, who will be announced live at the event, in a conversation moderated by Anne Beate Hovind.
