Ian Hamilton Finlay's Two Temples: To Apollo - His Music - His Missiles - His Muses (1966), with Annet Stirling, is on display in the City Art Centre's group show Out of Chaos, opening 17 May 2025.
The exhibition examines the wider context of post-war Scottish art, charting the years between the late 1940s and late 1990s and showcasing evolving approaches to figurative and landscape subjects, the growth of abstraction and pop art, and the development of new media.
Featuring over 60 works - paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, and photographs - the show draws exclusively from the City Art Centre’s collection of Scottish art.
