A photograph of Sean Connery, sitting on a chair on a verandah, somewhere warm, in (tax) exile.
As it progressed Sean became somewhat more wisened and emasculated, more like another Edinburgh citizen, Robert Louis Stevenson, ill and convalescent. When you paint the dead come knocking. It made me remember Campbell, my old flat mate in early 1990s Aberdeen. Alcoholic, 40 fags a day, he is long dead. I found a photograph of him quite recently and was struck by how much he looked like Andrei Tarkovsky.
