Meteorite Lands in the Middle of Nowhere

(The American Series)

Cornelia Parker often uses destructive techniques to create her work – exploding, steam-rollering and burning.

To make this series, the artist heated a piece of 400 year-old iron meteorite until it was glowing hot. The meteorite was then used to create burn marks on the surface of the maps.
