GENERATION: Alison Watt

ALISON WATT: PAINTINGS 1986 - 2014

Alison Watt's exhibition at Perth Museum and Art Gallery explores her development as an artist over the last 25 years. The exhibition features a number of Watt's early figurative works - self-portraits and studies of life models - but also charts her move away from the figure presenting key examples of her early fabric paintings and new works that edge ever closer to abstraction.

Alison Watt is also exhibiting at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh (28 June 2014 - 25 January 2015) as part of the GENERATION project.

GENERATION: Callum Innes

GENERATION: 25 Years of Contemporary Art in Scotland
Scottish National Gallery, The Mound, Edinburgh
28 June - 2 November

As part of the nationwide programme of exhibitions for GENERATION the upper galleries of the Academy Building are devoted to seven artists making work between 1990 and 2014.

The Scottish National Gallery's room of Exposed Paintings by Callum Innes presents the body of work for which the artist is best known. This display charts the development of the series which exemplifies Innes' process of applying oil colour to a prepared surface and meticulously removing this with turpentine.

For further information on the GENERATION programme of exhibitions please visit generationartscotland.org
