Susan Hiller's work encompases photography, video, installation, performance and text. Born in the USA in 1940, she has now lived and worked in Britain for 30 years and has become one of the most influencial artists of her generation with interests ranging from the supernational and psyhcoanalysis to popular culture and social history.

Hiller has exhibited internationally and her work is included in many public collections worldwide. In 2011, Tate Britain hosted a major survey exhibition of Hiller's work.
