Drawing Room – Drawing Biennial AuctionPosted On 20 04 2017
Drawing Biennial 2017
Tannery Arts, London
exhibition: 2 March – 26 April
Online auction ends 26 April 9 pm.
Drawing Biennial 2017 showcases how artists through an expansive range of method, material and conceptual properties translate their concerns into the medium of drawing. The format of the exhibition encourages highly subjective and personal responses to drawing, which is what makes this exhibition so unique. In this alphabetical hang there are some happy coincidental associations between works- that speak to one another. Inevitably, this year there are a number of works that comment on the current state of world disorder and from artists all around the world.
Including works on paper by David Batchelor, David Austen, Richard Forster, and Peter Liversidge, the online auction continues until 26th April, with 247 drawings by leading contemporary artists starting from £250. The proceeds of the Biennial auctions provide crucial funding which will enable The Drawing Room to deliver its ambitious programme over the next two years.
