Ceal Floyer
Corner
Published in 2009 as part of Ingleby Gallery’s Billboard for Edinburgh print series.
Ceal Floyer’s work often forces the viewer to do a double-take and challenges peoples’ perceptions of what is real and what is fake, what is fact and what is fiction. Famous for her minimalist aesthetic, Floyer uses a type of readymade – a commonly-used digital image file – to explore the age-old trick of trompe l’oeil through this beautifully simple limited edition print.
