Bethan Huws
Bethan Huws was born in Bangor, Wales in 1961.
Bethan Huws has enjoyed solo exhibitions at Whitechapel Gallery, London, Museum Serralves, Porto, Portugal, Kunstmuseum St Gallen, Switzerland and The Henry Moore Foundation, Leeds.
In 2009, Huws was commissioned by Turner Contemporary to make a new film and two new text installations on the Margate Seafront. Huws won the BACA Europe 2006 award given by the Bonnefanten Museum in Maastricht and represented Wales at the Venice Biennale in 2003.
In 2011, Huws became the 11th artist to take part in Ingleby Gallery’s Billboard for Edinburgh project with her installation Where’s Duchamp?
